This blog is a collection of all recipes created and/or made better by the Paatis of our family: My grandson's paati, my son's paati, my paati, and my mother's paati. In other words these are recipes passed down from generations in our family, which hails from Kumbakonam, TamilNadu, India. Most recipes are from TamilNadu, although some are inspired by cuisines from the other South Indian states.

The intended audience of this blog is primarily offsprings of the aforementioned Paatis, who know what the dishes taste/look like, and are also familiar with the ingredients. So for the rest of the world that lands on this page: you may encounter a few unfamiliar terms in the recipes. Drop a word if you have any questions, and one of the Paatis will try her best to answer them.
